About Accetiz 100 mg/2 mg Tablet

ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, muscle pain, tooth pain, bone and joint pain, and headache. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable.
 
ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE is a combination of two drugs, namely: Tizanidine (muscle relaxant) and Aceclofenac (NSAID). Tizanidine works on the centers of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements. Aceclofenac works by blocking the effect of prostaglandins which cause pain and inflammation. Thereby, reducing mild to moderate pain and inflammation. Together, ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE helps in relieving pain due to muscle spasms.
 
Take ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE with or without food. Swallow ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break the tablet. You are advised to take ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, heartburn, and diarrhea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE can increase your risk of a fatal heart attack or stroke. So, talk to a doctor if you have had any recent heart surgery. Consult your doctor before taking ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive with caution. ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness; it might also increase the risk of stomach bleeding. ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE is a combination of two drugs, namely: Tizanidine and Aceclofenac. ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, muscle pain, tooth pain, bone and joint pain, and headache. Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant that works on the centers of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements. Aceclofenac is an analgesic that works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical prostaglandins (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Together, ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE helps in relieving pain due to muscle spasms.

Directions for Use

Take ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE with or without food. Swallow ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break the table. Based on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE.

So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, talk to your doctor. Inform your doctor before taking ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE if you have had high blood pressure, heart problems, stomach ulcer or perforation, bleeding problems such as bleeding from the stomach, intestine, or brain, bypass surgery, heart attack, blood circulation problems, or inflammation of the intestine, high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, liver and kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Stop taking ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in the intestine or stomach, such as blood in stools. Do not take any other NSAIDs for pain relief along with ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE unless prescribed.

Drug-Drug Interaction:

ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE may have interaction with pain killers (hydrocodone), anti-depressants (citalopram, escitalopram, duloxetine, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline, lithium), hypnotic (zolpidem), anti-convulsant (pregabalin), antihistamine (diphenhydramine)

Drug-Disease Interaction:

 ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE may have interactions with stomach ulcer or perforation, bleeding problems, bypass surgery, heart attack, blood circulation problems, heart problems, inflammation of the intestines anemia, and severe kidney or liver problems.

Safety Advice

ALCOHOL

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking ACECLOFENAC+TIZANIDINE as it may increase drowsiness. It can also increase the risk of stomach bleeding.

PREGNANCY

Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns regarding this; your doctor will prescribe only if the benefits outweigh the risks.

BREAST FEEDING
